Unit 31: social action and community media task 3

The mutual respect and tolerance video was filmed at 5 Bathgate Terrace, Hartlepool the filming date was January 31st
The project manager for this video was Taylor Henderson and the script was written by Kane Smith and Chloe Handley.
The video was originally going to be a comedy sketch but after a brainstorming it was changed after it was realised how some jokes could be taken the wrong way.  the filming location was either going to be Adam Mclean's home or Ben Siddle's it was decided to that Adam's home was to be used due to it being more accessible then Ben's.
There were several problems that arose in Pre-production as the filming date came closer. because one of actress  had to drop due to mock-exam.so they had to drop out so we had to find another actress who fit the bill of multiple ethnicity. another problem that arose regarding location and whether or not we were able to gain access to the location before 11 o'clock in the morning. which we were.
The crew call was for 10 AM 31/01/17 once all of the crew, actors and equipment had gathered they went to the location.
Cast:
  • Andrew Bramfitt as Granddad
  • Diannne Garland as Mum
  • Ellie Garland as Sarah
  • Dylan Ward as Jacob
  • Beatrice Andrea as Girlfriend
The filming crew was:
Ben Siddle as Boom Operator
Matty Dickens as DOP
Taylor Henderson as Director
Jess Bramfitt as Production Manager.
Shawna Cane as Make-up

As stated previously I worked as research about ethical considerations for pre-production on the shoot

The completed video was released 6th,February 2017 on YouTube.

Anti Smoking
the Anti-smoking video filmed at the Dubliners Pub, Bridge Street, Thornaby, Stockton-On-Tees. The filming date was 3rd April 2017.
The filming crew was:
  • Matty Dickens - Director
  • Jess Bramfitt - assistant director
  • Ben Siddle - Camera Operator
  • Chloe Handley - Production manager
  • Rhys Collins - Boom Operator
The cast was:
  • Sol Talbi as smoker
  • Shannon Milligan
  • Kyra Robinson
I was supposed to be Runner but since it was a small filming shoot I wasn't needed on set.

the crew call was 9:30 and filming started at 10:30. There was a problem with the interior shots regarding the lighting because the actors were sat next to a window. so the sun light was streaming through the window, apparently Matty propped his jacket in the window to stop some of the light coming through.
The completed film was entered into the Cut Films National Anti Smoking Competition for which it was nominated.
The completed film was released on YouTube on May 16th 2017

A fourth Project is a recut of my documentary from a previous assignment, the content of the documentary is about my autism and how it has affected my life and my interactions with others. The people who I spoke with and interviewed was the SEN manager at my old secondary school All Saints Academy, Mrs Liz Gaughn. I had a group discussion with my current college class, and my parents, I was the one who arranged the interviews especially the one with Mrs Gaughn as the interview had to be on a Friday evening after the school day had concluded, the group discussion happened when we had every member of the group present. the interview with parents was filmed during the winter holidays.
The original cut of the documentary was released on January 12th, 2017, despite the fact that the factual part of it ended at around the 15 minute mark the video itself was 22 minutes long. Once this as noted I made the necessary changes to the video so it was 15 minutes but the editing of the video was slightly loose and needed tightening
