Unit 4: Creative media PMP Task 1A - Target Audiences

What is Target Audience?

Target audience means the intended specific audience for a specific product such as Books, Television and film productions or PSA’s (Public Service Announcements).

When writing a script for theatre, television show or Film. Or authoring a book besides the genre the writer/author must be mindful about what audience he/she is writing for. For example the book series Harry Potter which belongs to the genre of fantasy and its target audience is mainly directed towards children but it is written in a way that is entertaining for older readers.

What my intended Target Audience is.

My intended target Audience for my PMP is the ages 12 to 18. The reason I chose this demographic is because that is the demographic I am most used to creating a production for but I also want to make it so that it can be suitable and fun for all ages.

Production Diary - Ufilms Oscar rundown - Week 2

Monday 27th February - Instead of working on a script for another segment regarding the highlights of this years Academy Awards ceremony I was assigned to Breaking news
but before that I directed another intro of sorts for the second week of the Ufilms Oscar rundown that included the announcement that in the outro we Ufilms would make a big announcement.

Tuesday 28th February - This is when I recorded the first version of  A breaking news segment it mentioned how US President Donald Trump took credit for the Academy Award mix up. It was uploaded to the Ufilms Facebook Page before being taken down due to the background. The take down was due to the background not being professional enough.

Wednesday 1st March - that afternoon we Filmed another version of the "Breaking News" with a more professional background but it also had more information about how the Academy of arts and sciences would search the actual reason for the la la mix up.

Thursday 2nd March - final day of filming of the Ufilms Oscars rundown the last thing we filmed was the Outro

Production dairy: Ufilms Oscar Rundown - Week 1

Monday 20th February: Day one I was at first finishing the script for the first part then I operated the Boom Microphone during the filming of Chloe Handley's Pre Oscar segment. I couldn't exactly film my segment as was originally planned due to not having enough time.
Tuesday 21st February: Day two. The first thing I did was film my segment for the Pre Oscars Rundown. Then I started editing until I was needed for Camera Operator for a Class mates' segment along with Danniella who was the Primary Camera Operator who helped to make sure that the cameras were still focussed on the Presenter of the video as well as Kane Smith operating the other camera

Wednesday 22nd February: I missed most of the filming day due to myself having to go to a University Interview but when I returned I held up the curtain for the fashion of the Oscars video. The reason I had to do so was that the pole that the curtain was tied to was to weak to hold up the curtain with out falling over. Adam Mclean was Boom Operator, Matty Dickens was Camera Operator

Thursday 23rd February: I spent most of the day finish editing my segment which I had to get the audio properly synchronised. It was supposed to go up the night before but Chloe's segment's was finished so it could go up.

Unit 37 Presentation techniques task 1 B

Graham Norton
The reason I have chosen Graham Norton is because on his Talk show he Knows how to keep his audience interested and able to hold conversations with his guests. He talks to both his guests and his audience. for example he uses the audience as well as some of his other guests to pressure a guest in order to answer or to fulfil a request such as for the guest to sing such as the times when Will Smith was on The Graham Norton show he was coerced  into singing the opening theme of Fresh Prince of Bell Air

Jeremy Clarkson
When Jeremy Clarkson Presented Top Gear with Richard Hammond and James May and he did the interview segment of the programme known as "Star in the Reasonably Priced Car!" in which he interviewed various celebrities, actors, Other presenters, Musicians, comedians. He does this by first asking them about their lives and then the guest's respective Car history commenting his opinions on the quality of the guest's previous cars and what car they are currently driving. Then He moved on to the Guest's Lap of the Top gear Test Track in the Reasonably priced car.

La La Land review

What to say about La La Land, the movie was well choreographed okay that's an understatement the choreography was spectacular. When I first heard the title I thought that the movie would be set in the 1950's the movie is in fact a homage to the era and genre of filmmaking particularly when Ryan Gosling's character "Sebastian" swings around a lamppost. it has been said that every frame of this film was a work of art and I have to agree.

The most impressive if not emotional moment of the film is the ending where as unlike the genre and era of films La La Land pays homage to this does not have the star-crossed lovers have a "Happy ever after" while admitting that they would always have feelings for each other they go their separate ways to achieve their dreams but it does show a montage of Sebastian and Emma Stone's character "Mia" if they hadn't separated but it shows that Sebastian never achieves his dream of opening a Jazz Club while Mia becomes an accomplished actress

The interactions between the characters are well done as Sebastian continually encourages Mia to follow her dreams even after she has give up on being an actress.

To conclude La La Land is an excellent film and has earned the Oscar's it has been nominated for. the actors deserve it

unit 62 - evidence of editing intercative media video

The image above is a screen shot of myself inserting text into the video to describe the story of that segment of the video. the reason I chose that font is that it would stand out against the forest background in the video however the font shown in this screen shot is different then the one shown in the final video.

Below is an image of how I have labelled the footage of the video.

The way I labelled the footage was numbering the shots that of certain things that came in a specific order for example the file "Pill Box 1" is the first file featuring the Pill Box bunker in Thornaby Woods

When I had labelled the footage I deposited the selected footage which had been cut down to relevant portions I depositied it on to the time line to be rendered and exported once all of the selected footage had been put together and further cut down.

Once all of the footage had been cut down put together and captions added on to it I then set it to render so it could be exported
Once rendering process had been complete it was time to export the completed video so it could be provided to the rest of the group.
