What to say about La La Land, the movie was well choreographed okay that's an understatement the choreography was spectacular. When I first heard the title I thought that the movie would be set in the 1950's the movie is in fact a homage to the era and genre of filmmaking particularly when Ryan Gosling's character "Sebastian" swings around a lamppost. it has been said that every frame of this film was a work of art and I have to agree.
The most impressive if not emotional moment of the film is the ending where as unlike the genre and era of films La La Land pays homage to this does not have the star-crossed lovers have a "Happy ever after" while admitting that they would always have feelings for each other they go their separate ways to achieve their dreams but it does show a montage of Sebastian and Emma Stone's character "Mia" if they hadn't separated but it shows that Sebastian never achieves his dream of opening a Jazz Club while Mia becomes an accomplished actress
The interactions between the characters are well done as Sebastian continually encourages Mia to follow her dreams even after she has give up on being an actress.
To conclude La La Land is an excellent film and has earned the Oscar's it has been nominated for. the actors deserve it
