Justin Beiber was born 1994, March first in Ontario Canada. He has released several albums but is often the source of controversial subjects specifically in 2014 when he had several somewhat severe altercations with the law and has received numerous awards it was around 2008 to 2010 that he was noticed by Scooter Braun. Justin's main music genre is pop given by the well known worldwide (famous or infamous depending who you are) the hit single "Baby".
Justin Beiber's early image was that of a sort of boy next door image an indication of this would be again the hit single "Baby" and the song "One less lonely girl"
His image later developed into a sort of image that the boy and "Take That" and One direction" had not wanting to appeal to young girls but women instead. This was seen in his music videos and fashion style more specially his hair cut instead of a bowl cut it was short and the fringe was quiffed upwards.
In his music videos it is rare to see Justin Beiber on stage performing. The way he portrays himself is like an exaggerated version of himself and in a positive light.
Most of Justin Beiber's music videos are close ups of himself but it is usually the background that changes such as one song where it appears that the camera is on a selfie stick (I cannot remember the music video in question or what it is called (Thank god)).
The camera work and editing are used to reinforce Justin Beiber's image as stated before with a lot of close ups and a lot of bright lighting in the background.
Justin Beiber was popular in 2010 because this was before other singers such as Olly Murrs or Bruno Mars appeared or at least became widely known so there was less variety of that genre.
To conclude Justin Beiber has changed from someone who you could understand why he was popular to someone you want to punch in the face but is still popular enough to somehow have fans despite doing some condemably stupid things.
A nice start to a look at image change but a few visual examples of these changes (video links or stills) would really provide a little more understanding.
ReplyDeleteDo you really think Justin Bieber was popular because there was nobody else out at the time? Bieber had a very manufactured image designed by his management and he has spent a long time trying to shake this off.
Read back through, could you ask yourself why? and explain anymore after each point? If you can then you still have some further analysis to do.
